A downloadable zine

TIGER TIGER is a 2-zine series of perzines written over the course of a year. the first one was finished in may of 2024 & the second one was finished in february of 2025.

these are both about being a chinese lesbian. the first tiger tiger was the first zine i ever tried to format for print (i did it very bad). the second tiger tiger was correctly formatted for print & sold at a zine fair. people loved it so much that it got me a consignment at a local co op! if you're somehow here because of my tiger tigers, hello :]

(sorry i'm being annoying and commenting on everything but) i read through all of your zines and immediately had to make an itch.io account just to let you know that these are amazing. again, your font choice is brilliant. your graphic design is incredible.

on a personal level, i'm a nigerian-american trans guy and HEAVILY relate to this. a lot of the cultural stereotypes about helicopter parents and the "doctor, lawyer, engineer, or disowned" outlook on career options and general expectations for your child ring true for me. i appreciate that you express those complex emotions. "i have a very complicated relationship with my mom. she is my worst enemy but she buys me dinner sometimes." and that's how it is so much of the time!!

i also really really like the tonal shift between issues 1 and 2. i like that you say some of the same things but the words are in a different context and lead to a different conclusion.

on an unrelated note - your website is SO COOL, draggable boxes are such an interesting idea and they're sooo fun to play around with

oh my god WELCOME TO ITCH!!!!!!! it's my birthday today & honestly these comments are the best gifts a guy could ask for. i have wanted to write about my mom forever and (despite there being like billions of bipoc in this world) something about knowing there are other ppl who are going thru the same thing is deeply comforting. she actually just flew in to see me & left yesterday. needless to say i've been thinking about this one a lot lately..... it's kind of super fucking cool that other people are too

omg happy birthday!!! i hope the visit went well, or as well as it can!
and yeah i'm going to be thinking about these for a while :)
